Building a new kind of agency.

When I built the advertising capability at R/GA, the idea was to do more than just make TV spots. It was to create a whole new hybrid approach to marketing built out of deep collaboration between storytelling and experience design. This is the best example of the work that grew out of it.

I’ve always hated the idea that people who began their careers in general agencies were somehow more creative or capable than ‘digital people’. So I took special pride in writing this Super Bowl script, taking the Super Bowl work away from the general agency that was supposed to do the project, and producing the spot that launched Beats Music to the world.
