Leading marketing for a tech product as CMO of Marcel.ai

Just about everyone in the ad industry has heard of Marcel, due to the flamboyant way Publicis Groupe CEO Arthur Sadoun announced it at Cannes. My job was to make sense of it—why are we doing it, what does it do, what content belongs there, how can it change our culture, and why should people come back every day. I’m not afraid to do hard things.

I created the Marcel brand, developed the product narrative, scripted this entire Apple-style keynote presentation, and also crafted the user journeys that give a glimpse of what Marcel would do for employees of the holding company.

Product Marketing and Editorial Strategy

Creating software to improve the employee experience is one thing, getting people to use it is another. I created a whole range of product marketing initiatives, crafted an editorial strategy and built a content team who kept people coming back.

 
 

Diversity and Inclusion

As Marcel became the central gathering place for Publicis Groupe employees around the world, we used the platform to host a series of transformative diversity initiatives and other community-building efforts.

This is Marcel we’re talking about and PR was a major driver of the project for leadership in Paris. We saved thousands of jobs during the pandemic, and the resulting PR helped change a lot of minds in the industry about Marcel.
